… It doesn't matter …
The Worst ISP (Streamyx Slow Like XXXXX)

I’m really sick of my ISP – Telekom Malaysia Berhad a.k.a. TM or Streamyx.
This kind of ping really don’t get me anything out of the Internet. Why is this happening when I pay for it?
Facebook Video take forever to load, Youtube videos loading time is approx. 1:10 (10 minutes load for 1 minute video)
Do you face this kind of problem also? Drop in comment and shout it out!

OKay..here’s the big deal, for sometimes – AT THE WRONG TIMINGS (especially during normal days),Streamyx was going extremely well. BUT I as a teenager – when school holiday starts ,frustration due to the f**king slow Streamyx BEGINS. Owh comeón, whytf is always happening during good times?! But connections are fast like rocket when connecting to servers located at Penang and Johor Bahru but is slow like turtle when connecting to US servers like YouTube and MySpace (as Ahyap stated – http://www.ahyap.com/blog/streamyx-intranet.php). And another prob is their useless ANNOYING Services, WELL AT LEAST INFORM US THAT STREAMYX IS HAVING A TECHNICAL PROBLEM where some amateur internet users might thought why the f**k is my connection is so slow? EVEN THOUGH DIALING 100 seems useless when connection is getting worse, all kinda excuses might spit out from the operator. FOR SHORT OR FOR SOME other better solution join Streamyxsucks.com !!

Well, I agreed. Maybe they just oversell their service.
Calling 100 is extremely useless, when I call them… I just want to stay relaxed and try to finish the conversation.
None of a single word from the customer service representative helped me.
You notice that I say Customer Service Representative. This is completely different with Technician.
Anyway, you can’t get anything better than Streamyx in Malaysia. (At the moment)
And Streamyx has always been very slow connecting to international servers and websites especially US and UK.
The waiting time is just unbearable. Wonder when will they upgrade their service.
Stop the 4 month free offer please… Don’t oversell your service please!!

I had very very very very very very slow connection since 23/01/2010.
connection speed i have(TM speedometer) 78kbps download 81kbps upload for my 1MB package.
I called and email Streamyx everyday since 24/01/2010, yet the problem still presists.
I agreed with josephting, Customer Representative are not technician, they are just wasting our time.
I’m going to stop using Streamyx and go for P1, although P1 is also not good, but at least they will wave the montly fees if the line is to bad.(my friend did it before)
January 30th, 2010 at 22:24
Thanks for sharing that P1 will waive the fees if you’re not satisfied.
TM is just overloaded with customers, they can’t pay attention to each of them.
Too sad…

Haha… I see that email a lot. Whatever your problem with your Internet is, they will ask you to troubleshoot.
Their HR department really need to improve their Customer Service Representative. They are nothing but just money sucking people in TM.
March 13th, 2010 at 22:57
Sigh.
Looks like I’m not the only one facing this Streamyx noobage.
I also got the exact email when I sent one asking them whether
the undersea cable faults were behind the sudden deterioration of service.
They said “it did not affect our service in anyway”.
Well, how ’bout that?
Screw it – I’m joining StreamyxSucks.com too.
F**K STREAMYX!

I’ve been considering the exact identical factor myself lately. Glad to see a person for the same exact wavelength! Good posting.
