Juicing For Health And Vitality

0

If you value your time, you need a “real” juicer that can stand up to the task of producing fresh, quality juice without a lot of hassle. Think about the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro.

First-time users are often surprised about the lack of noise. Frequently, juicers make the noise of a high-pitched motorcycle. The PowerJuicer is much quieter than a washing machine. Its not quite “whisper quiet” as advertised on television. But it will not wake the kids and/or disturb your neighbors either.

The juice quality is what impresses many consumers. You get fresh juice that tastes much better than the store bought version…without harmful additives. You’ll be drinking juice chock full of nature’s vitamins & minerals and free of preservatives and other harmful additives. That translates to health and vitality for you & family.

The Jack Lalanne Power Juicer 250 Watts Machine has a large feed chute and 3,600 RPM motor that is guaranteed for life. Plenty of power…the motor won’t bog down.

With the cheaper juicers, it is often necessary to squeeze excess juice from the pulp. That’s not handy or efficient. The Jack Lalanne 10091 Power Juicer spits out dry shards. That’s why it produces up to 30% more juice than other juicers.

Another advantage is the unit’s stability. The PowerJuicer doesn’t move around on the counter while you’re inserting produce and juicing. Don’t expect this from other juicers …unless you’re working with the $1,000 commercial models.

The blade is stainless steel and should be good for around a year before needing to be replaced. PowerJuicer users routinely report that their blade is still sharp after 200+ juicing sessions.

Jack Lalanne is known to be a dare-devil in demonstrations of his physical prowess, but safety around the household has alway been a concern. The Power Juicer comes with a blade puller accessory to remove the blade for cleaning…without slicing your fingers. The appliance also has a hold-down safety bar that won’t allow the blade to spin unless it is fully assembled.

A Sunday School Teacher Gets Arrested for Drunk Driving, Gets Inspired and Motivated To Seek Alcohol Rehabilitation for Her Abusive Drinking, and Strengthens Her Sense of Worth and Her Quest For Happiness

0

For the past twenty-one years Jenny has been a nurse at a small trauma hospital. Not only this, but she has also been teaching Sunday school at the local Episcopalian Church. Despite the fact that she lived in a small countryside community where it seemed like every person knew everyone’s business, relatively little was known about Jenny. Without a doubt everyone knew that she had worked numerous years as a licensed practical nurse and that she taught Sunday school for as long as she lived in their small town. Other than that, however, it almost appeared as if Jenny was simply a visitor in their community.

You can imagine the hubbub that took place when it was revealed that one Sunday morning Jenny had lost consciousness due to too much alcohol. To be sure, the article in the neighborhood daily paper articulated that Jenny not only became unconscious, but that she also received a DUI due to the fact that her blood alcohol concentration was twice the legal limit for intoxication. This is certainly one of the alcohol effects on the body that no Sunday school teacher wants to have made known to the entire community. But this is precisely what happened, much to the chagrin of Jenny.

Jenny Gets Quite Embarrassed About Her Arrest For Driving While Inebriated

Obviously, Jenny was quite unhappy about her arrest for driving while intoxicated. Not only should she have known better about driving while inebriated because of her nursing position, but she also should have held herself accountable to a higher standard because of the straightforward fact that she taught Sunday school.

After her drunk driving arrest, Jenny thought about moving out of town so that she would not have to feel let down about her arrest and also so she wouldn’t have to defend her actions for the millionth time to the other members of her community. After meeting with her reverend, nonetheless, she finally determined that she would get alcohol rehabilitation at a local drug and alcohol treatment center. She did this for two straightforward reasons. First, it was relatively easy for her to drive to a local counseling hospital. And second, she actually wanted the word to get out among all the residents in the community that she was in all honesty addressing her excessive and abusive drinking.

Jenny Goes Through Detox and Gets a Thorough Physical Examination

After Jenny went through detox, she got thoroughly examined by a healthcare practitioner at the drug and alcohol rehabilitation hospital. She then underwent various laboratory procedures where it was verified that she was not an alcoholic but rather was engaging in excessive and abusive drinking. In a word Jenny was engaging in long term alcohol abuse.

Jenny was presented with the option of getting alcohol counseling as a residential patient or getting registered as an outpatient. Jenny, then again, thought that she could still work as a nurse and keep her Sunday school teaching job if she were to be registered as an out-patient and this is exactly what she did.

According to her counseling plan, Jenny went to four rehab sessions every month, she learned quite a bit about alcohol info, she worked on her out-of-class “duties,” she received treatment for her depression and other mental health issues, and she found out how to involve herself doing things in life that did not involve drinking.

After sixteen weeks, Jenny determined that her hazardous and abusive drinking was under control and so she got discharged from the drug and alcohol treatment center under the provision that she would return for follow up therapy once every two months for the next ten months. Jenny agreed and followed through on her “word.”

Jenny Comes to a Decision to Remove Herself From All Drinking Circumstances and Finds Out That Her Self Esteem Increases

After she completed her rehab Jenny concluded that she would be able to drink in moderation. After thinking about things more thoroughly, however, she determined that she would completely refrain from any and all drinking circumstances.

When Jenny made this decision, she learned that her self-worth became stronger the more she was in command of her life. And as her self-respect grew more pronounced, it appeared that she became more gregarious and began going to more town functions such as music festivals, local high school football and basketball games, flower festivals, rib roasts, strawberry festivals, carnivals, and Christmas tree lighting ceremonies.

Jenny Addresses Her Irresponsible Drinking, Decides To Do Something Beneficial About It, and Rediscovers Her Faith

As the months went by, the individuals in the town demonstrated more affection for Jenny because she was involving herself with them more regularly and also because she addressed her unhealthy and excessive drinking and decided to do something positive about it. It may have been her imagination, but it also appeared that her Sunday school students showed more respect and admiration for her.

Jenny is a living illustration of someone who had a dangerous issue and who did something positive about it. She is also an individual who discovered that her religious faith is not only something that is intrinsic, but that it is also something that affects the way in which a person cooperates and works with other individuals.

Acne and Low Glycemic Diet.

1

There is a very strong link between acne and diet. The prevalence of acne, a distressing skin condition, is very high. It is estimated that 79 to 95% of adolescents, 40 to 54% aged 25 and older. In middle age 3% of men and 12% of women have acne.

The true cause of acne is unknown. The fact that there is a lower incidence of acne in non-Western countries raises the possibility of a link between acne and low carbohydrate intake. Insulinaemia (raised Insulin level) occur following a high carbohydrate intake. High Insulin level is an important part of acne in general because it affects androgenic hormones and growth factor.

Dr. Robin. N. Smith and colleagues, in a study, used randomised low glycemic load diet and a control diet that was rich in carbohydrates. The low glycemic load diet had 45% energy from low glycemic Index carbohydrate and 25% from protein. The study included 45 male aged 15 to 24 years. The study was carried out at the RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. This randomised controlled trial was the first to examine what effects glycaemic load had on acne.  In the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition July Issue the published results showed that there was significant reduction of acne in the low glycemic diet group as compared to the group on carbohydrate rich food. So for acne, low Glycemic food is the Good Health Option.

In a press release, Dr Smith and his colleagues said, “Although we could not isolate the effect of the low glycemic load diet from that of weight loss, the findings support the hypothesis of a relationship between high insulin levels and acne.”

Foods with low Glycemic Index are complex carbohydrate rich. Consequently, they release glucose very slowly into the blood steam. If sugar is released slowly into the blood, the demand on Insulin is less. Circulating blood sugar is controlled by Insulin. It also affects sex and growth hormones.

Blood sugar level is monitored after food is eaten to assess the Glycemic Index of foods.

Highy Glycemic Index(HGI): 70+

Medium Glyemic Index (MGI): 56 to 69.

Low Glycemic Index (LGI); 55 and lower.

HGI (High Glycemic Index)  Foods. Pretzels 83 Rice Cakes 87 Glutinous Rice 86  Short Grain White Rice 83  Tapioca 70  Scones 92 Fresh Mashed Potatoes 73  French Fries 75  Donuts 76 Instant Mashed Potatoes 80  Watermelon 80 Dates 103 Instant White Rice 87

So Reject white bread, burgers, and French fries and eat more beans and cereals to keep those zits away or under your control.

For good health, low stress and clear skin maintain a low glycemic diet.

0

Did you know that thousands of years ago hypnosis was thought of as black magic? It used to be a popular belief among many, but over time things changed, the mind sets of the human creature changed and the true identity of hypnosis emerged.

It is no surprise that so many individuals find hypnosis useful in their day to day activities. This is quite true with regard to clinical hypnosis, as many patients who suffer from smoking; increased stress and obesity have been able to solve their problems by simply practicing clinical hypnosis. People have started to realize the different kinds of benefits that could be reaped from being hypnotized. This is why even the doctors use this method to treat many conditions in their patients.

Clinical Hypnosis is known to be a very famous method that the medical fraternity in treating many cases of behavioural problems in their patients. If you research more on this topic, you will find that more than thousands of people benefit each year through the use of clinical hypnosis. People who are addicted to drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are advised to go through the process of clinical hypnosis as this can help them overcome or reduce their habits up to a certain extent. That’s not all. Clinical hypnosis is also used as a weight loss program.

Unlike all the other hypnosis techniques that are available, what’s different with clinical hypnosis is that the hypnotized person is able to improve on their life style, health, etc. This is apart from having a relaxed, stress-free mind after the completion of the process. Clinical hypnosis is usually done by expert physicians who understand that each patient must be approached in a different way, depending on the body functions, and certain medical conditions that the patient already has.

Many people who are willing to quit smoking, drinking alcohol and lose weight opt for this method without taking any medications because unlike medicine, it does not have any side effects. Clinical hypnosis is not an easy task. It takes time and patience. Don’t go to confuse it as falling asleep or being brain washed. It involves your body and mind to take control and then commits you to doing what is right. For example, if we take a person who is a continuous smoker, then the idea to quit smoking can be done by clinical hypnosis.

Were you aware of clinical hypnosis was also used to treat patients with hysterical conditions? Yes, it is a true fact. Additionally, doctors have also used clinical hypnosis for the induction of anesthesia in surgery.

The list doesn’t stop there. Clinical hypnosis was also used to successfully treat irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pains that contribute to various illnesses, reduce pain associated with childbirth, treatments of burns, etc. Today you will find dentists who use clinical hypnosis to reduce the bleeding and discomfort the patient goes through during oral surgery.

Who wouldn’t love to lead a pain free life, without having to take drugs and medications for every illness? Today, going to a hospital I believe isn’t so difficult as it used to be.
