This is what is called shareware or freeware. Depending upon the software developer this type of software is typically used to offer a trial period and or a limited use to their customers. Now this generally is a way of telling you that you don’t get the full use of the software. Most of these freeware or shareware downloads do not allow you save your music.

Most of the beat machine software is rather high priced. Some seem so complicated you need a degree from Harvard to figure them out. I like things that are priced reasonably and are easy enough to use right out of the box so to speak.
