We often take our homes for granted after all we pay a lot of money usually to live in them or pay rent to someone else to make sure they are kept in good condition and looking nice. But you don’t have to have a complete home makeover and spend thousands just to have someone walk in and say wow!

You have to make sure that not only is your room decorated nicely but that you have little nic nacs here and there so that you have focal points and things to talk about. If you like masks why not have some beautiful Venetian ones on the walls?

The kitchen is becoming more and more of a talking point and entertaining space these days so many of us want it to look amazing and little changes can help this. Have things on display, make sure your knives aren’t tucked away but are in a nice knife block set for example.

Other appliances like a kitchen aid hand mixer out on display can look stunning especially with the correct lighting bouncing of it. The worktop surfaces also can make your units look amazing and if you can’t afford to get a new kitchen then new doors will work just as well or even just change the handles!

Knife sets look good but so do things like under counter lights which can be simple and inexpensive to install, heck you can even go to a local grocery store and buy the stick on ones, no one will ever notice the difference! Next to the bedroom, how do you like yours to make you feel?

However you want it you have to look at color schemes, so for passionate look to reds and purples, for calm and soothing oranges and even blue but make sure its not too cold a blue color. And for simple go for neutral colors like ivory, beige, sand and the like.

Now that you have the colors in mind you can add little items or ornaments maybe even personal souvenirs that you have collected to just give the room that extra personal touch, they don’t have to be time consuming or expensive to implement.

Your hallway or porch is the portal to your home, you always need to make sure that its welcoming so keep the muddy shoes and boots at the back door if you can and get rid of anything cluttering up the entrance to your home, keep this open and guests will always find it nice and inviting.
