Backup Singing, Be A Shadow and Shine
1To sing backup, you must learn to serve the music, not yourself. The meaning of singing backup is to sing behind someone, not compete with them. You must be able to play a supporting position to the idol and not feel left out if you want to sing backup.
Backup singing is more difficult than you might imagine. Similar to an instrumental accompanist, this type of singing requires that you listen very intently and be sensitive . Listening and reacting to the main singers phrasing, you must begin and end as they do. You must, in effect be the singers shadow.
Hopefully you have some input or control over where you sit or stand on stage. See to it that you can see the singer at all times. The job of backup singing is much harder if you can’t see the singers face. Watch the singer to learn where they are going. If the singer decides to take another chorus or makes a mistake, you can follow them only if you are watching and aware. Keep your eyes on the singer. The singer may use a hand gesture to indicate a repeat from the top or even a modulation so be aware.
As the singer goes, so must you. Blend to their phrasing. If you want to blend in the proper way, start your line just after the singer starts theirs. Sometimes you are not sure of how loud the singer will be so start quietly and gradually come up to the proper level after the line develops. Another tip is to be easy on the consonants at the start of a phrase. It may be advisable not to pronounce a hard consonant at all as it may produce a unpleasant conflict with the main phrase.
The end of lines are just as necessary as the beginning. If you gradually ease off your phrase as the singer does the same, you will not end after they do and cause much embarrassment to yourself and the band as a whole. If you follow these singing tips, watch, listen and blend in; you can be a professional backup singer in very short order.

The current economic climate is leaving many people feeling uncertain about Share Trading, one only has to watch the daily movements and read the news on businesses in strife, to realise just how unpredictable the Share market is. What is a Forex trading strategy? Simply put, it is a system for setting money management rules, analysing the progression of a chart, establishing a possible trade entry point (Setup), confirming the entry point, opening a trade, establishing an exist strategy to both minimise losses and to take profits.
A trading strategy is the backbone to Forex trading, without it there is no way of working out why you entered a loosing trade and how to correct it, or why the trade worked and how you could improve it.
As you commence trading, a trading strategy provides the system for trading your Demo account. These are a facility established by most brokers and allow you to try your hand, without putting cash at risk. You give yourself an account balance and trade it real time using your trading strategy and watch your balance either grow or vanish. You’ll soon see if the strategy you are testing stacks up!

Rates Increasing For Direct TV Customers
1Well it is the time of year when both cable and satellite TV companies are raising rates.Comcast got the ball rolling in November of 2008, with notice that they would be raising rates on their subscribers. Dish Network followed up with their own announcement that took effect in early February of 2009, also raising prices on customers.
Direct TV is the latest major pay television operator to announce a price increase. The Direct TV price increase will take effect in early March, and will raise the prices of most packages between $3 and $5 dollars each. DirecTV is citing higher programming costs as the reason for the increase. DIRECTV prices have been raised for the past three years.
All in all, the increase won’t break any budgets. When you look at it logically, they are basically raising the price of service about a dime a day, well worth it for most satellite TV subscribers who watch between one and four hours of television each day. Still, it seems as if consumers are getting nickel and dimed to death, even with the economy going into the tank.
On the other hand, compare DIRECTV vs Dish Network and that will provide you a good idea on what satellite television will offer. One example is the price charged for DVR service every month. The Direct TV DVR is about per month, while Comcast charges upwards of for their DVR service. Charges like this really can increase your bill.

Remote Viewing – A Novices Guide
0Do you know what remote viewing is? It’s a psychic ability that allows you to see people, places and things that are not within range of your normal sight. That is, you can’t see or hear what’s going on by conventional means, but you can use your own natural psychic ability and learn how to see things without actually being there in person.
Let’s make a clarification, here, though. Remote viewing isn’t the same as having an out of body experience. Instead, astral travel, also called an ‘out of body experience,’ actually involves you traveling in spirit form to witness firsthand an event or place.
In contrast to astral travel, remote viewing is a kind of psychic dowsing. That is, the remote viewer is using his or her psychic power to be able to see locations not visible to the physical eye. In other words, someone doing remote viewing is using a kind of ESP to ‘see’ what is happening within a given location.
All humans have a form of latent psychic ability that was never developed fully when we were young. Considering that most of us only ever use around 10% of our brain’s capacity, there’s another 90% of dormant brainpower left untapped and untrained that we aren’t quite sure what to do with.
Imagine having the capacity and skill to be able to simply ‘see’ your children at a moments notice and know that they’re safe even if you’re not there physically with them. This can give you security and peace of mind that is simply invaluable.

*Belief is a key element in your remote viewing success rate. As you descend deeper into your relaxed state, you need to believe that you are capable of seeing people, events, or places that you’ve never physically seen.
*Start your remote viewing exercise by targeting something simple, so that you can show yourself you indeed are capable of this psychic ability. Perhaps you could ‘place’ yourself standing in front of your own currently relaxed self, with your standing self looking backward at your relaxed self. This can be difficult at first, but continue to patiently perform this exercise. Before long, you should be able to see yourself from this objective angle, as others see you. This is wonderfully surprising.
*Once you can master the mental control needed to view yourself from a remote perspective, cast your remote viewing eye a little wider, and observe a location you know very well. Perhaps a parent’s home or family member will suffice while you’re training your mind. Notice small things that may be out of place, such as dishes on the sink or magazines on the table. When you get a chance, call and confirm what you saw. This reinforcement of what you’ve seen is important, because it will show you what your mind is really capable of achieving.
You can also change these remote-viewing exercises so that you can get feedback much more quickly. Have a friend or family member sit in another room of your home, out of your line of sight. Ask him or her to repeat some simple motion, such as waving a hand, twirling a strand of hair, etc. sit quietly and use remote viewing to see if you can see the action being performed. When it’s done, ask whether or not your results were correct.
One positive side effect to spending time practicing remote viewing is that you may find yourself much more adept at getting into a relaxed state as you do so. The relaxed state you put yourself into when you practice remote viewing is very much like the trancelike relaxation people are put into when they are put under hypnosis. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is a state where you are very alert and aware of what’s going on around you, but you are also very relaxed. This state of extreme relaxation and alertness at the same time makes it much easier to get in touch with your subconscious mind.
Our psychic abilities are much more easily accessible via the sub-conscious, so the more you practice your remote viewing techniques, the better you’ll become.

Another Acrylic Painting Technique: No Need To Wait For Paints To Dry
One of the benefits of learning this acrylic painting technique is that it helps solve the problem of waiting for the paint to dry on the palette; even on a palette that can retain moisture but which also leads to wastage of paint. Though you might argue why not buy cheap paint and forget the issue with wastage of acrylics the simple fact is that you will benefit more by using good quality paints and so must learn new acrylic painting techniques to overcome this problem.
Of course, when using this acrylic painting techniques is sure to have a cloth available so that you can wipe away any unwanted acrylic. Next, you should use a damp brush which even though it will cause some water to get on the canvas is a good method and in any case, you can get around this problem by using thin acrylics and in addition you must be sure about whether the color you are going to use is opaque or transparent. If the paint is dense then it is good to make them thin before use.
Another aspect to mastering this particular acrylic painting technique is what to do with excess paint. The way to do this is to simply dip your brush into some clean water. With continuous dipping into water you may of course end up spreading the painting area with unwanted paint. But, this is not a big problem and you should also not worry about allowing excess water to affect your paint even though this will create problems with adhesion. One can solve this problem by mixing well equal quantity of paint and water.
Once you master this acrylic painting technique you will find that working without a palette is a wonderful way to save on colors and it helps to also save space since you will not need to use a palette.

Each time you mix a pair of primary colors you will get what is known as a secondary color and so if you mix red with blue you will get purple while mixing yellow with red gives you orange and mixing blue and yellow gives you green.
